The Mercedes-Benz X-Class has a choice of two 2.3-litre, four-cylinder, turbo diesel engines. The first engine, being a single-turbo unit, produces 120kW of power with 403Nm of torque and comes as a six-speed manual. The second choice of engine is a twin-turbo unit with 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque. With this choice of engine, you can choose between a six-speed manual and seven-speed automatic. Both diesel engines have optional four-wheel drive.
